First IKA Race Officers course successfully concluded

Written by Editor on . Posted in News

The International Kiteboarding Association has run its first international race officers course in Ghent, Belgium, at the end of February 2010.

It was attended by 28 candidates from 14 different countries ranging from Estonia to Brazil. The course was run over three days and headed up by ISAF International Race Officer and IKA board member Bruno de Wannemaeker and ISAF International Judge and Chairman of the ISAF Windsurfing and Kiteboarding Committee, Kamen Fillyov.

Plans are underway to continue this successful concept not only for race management but also for juries and judges.
