Information for Riders competing in KPWT events

Riders that take part in any KPWT events, or events under the supervision of the “IKF”, will be refused entry for all future IKA sanctioned events, for a period of one year, starting with the last day of such event.

IKA sanctioned events include all world and continental championships events in Course Racing and Speed, all events of the PKRA World Tour leading to the world titles in Freestyle and Wave, the Kiteboard Tour Asia, the Kiteboard Tour Europe, and any national events and championships counting for the IKA world rankings.

This action is based on Racing Rules of Sailing #76.

Price Money Split for Mexico Course Continentals published

The Notice of Race for the upcoming North American Course Racing Championships in Vallarta, Mexico, has been updated with the price money split.

The total price money is distributed to the top 20 competitors of the open fleet, and extra price money is available for the womens only fleet. This means that the top women can get cash twice, encouraging the top female riders in the world.

Judging Guidelines to be published February 15

The 2010 Judging Guidelines for Freestyle and Wave Riding are expected to be published on February 15, 2010, within the scope of the updated championship rules.

The Guidelines are the result of several months of in-depth negotiations of IKA's judging committee, consisting of representatives from the national associations as well as professional riders.
