KTA Hongkong Half-Way Report

KTAThe KTA Hong Kong has seen a good entry again with 38 riders registering from 14 different country’s which included this time Egypt, the UK, Spain and Germany.

On the cards for the event are both national and international level competitions, with the final leg of the KTA Greater China freestyle and course racing championships alongside the continuing KTA tour disciplines.

Kevin Langeree and Bruna Kajiya take the 2009 PKRA Freestyle Titles

Today would go down in kiteboarding history as the day the PKRA Freestyle World Championship crown is passed on to two of the most promising kiteboarders in the world. Kevin Langeree (Naish, NED), after many years of battle, finally was crowned the PKRA Freestyle World Champion in an unprecedented event that saw many upsets and triumphs. Bruna Kajiya (Flexifoil, BRA) would also end the 2009 season with a bang, capturing the women’s PKRA Freestyle World Championship title from Spain’s Gisela Pulido (Airush) after years of reigning the women’s division.

Asia’s first international kiteboard tour goes to Hong Kong

The world’s fastest growing and newest watersports phenomenon is set to come to the shores of high tech Hong Kong at the start of December.

The Kiteboard Tour Asia (KTA) which is staging the second round of its five stop international competition tour in Hong Kong from the 2 – 5 December 09. The event will be based on the beautiful Cheung Sha beach on South Lantau at the new purpose built, Palm Beach watersports centre.
