Asian Course Racing Championships confirmed

The Asian Course Racing Championships will be held from March 13-18 in Pranburi, Thailand and organized in conjunction with the KTA Thailand stop.

Revised Kite Course Racing Rules published

The revised course racing rule book has been published on the IKA website and will be available from the official ISAF website from January 2. The new rulebook contains the rule changes made for the upcoming printed version of the 2013 ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing that have been approved during the November ISAF annual conference.

Denmark joins IKA

KBDKDenmark joins IKA through Kiteboarding Denmark (KBDK), which is the national association for Danish kite surfers.

It is KBDK desire to support the IKA and give Denmark and Danish kitsurfers the opportunities that membership of the IKA provides. KBDK hope that it bee not long before the Danish events are to find the IKA event list.

KBDK has worked hard to establish a national kitesurf instructor training program together with the Danish sailing union in 2011. This is successful and the first courses will be held in spring and summer of 2012.

Another area which KBDK work a lot with is to secure continued access to kitesurf spots around the Denmark, and this is done in collaboration and dialogue with the various conservation authorities and associations.
