Germany and Italy? Check! 40 days left to the final in St Gilles Croix de Vie, France! The European summer is coming to an end, but before the European riders are heading for the southern hemisphere for the winter months, there is one highlight left: The Kitesurf Tour Europe comes to St. Gilles Croix de Vie (Nantes) from October 26th to November 01st for its final stop and crowns the European Champions in Kiteboarding Freestyle.
Attention all course racing competitors: please be aware that from 2012 only equipment on the registered equipment list is eligible for racing. However, kites of model years 2011 and before are automatically granted eligibility for racing. If you are not sure if your kite is a 2012 model or an earlier year model, please contact the IKA office in time before the competition.
The updated equipment lists can be found here:
The equipment registration schemes for course racing 2012 are available now. They can be downloaded at http://internationalkiteboarding.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4540&Itemid=281.
The biggest change to the board registration scheme 2011 is, that equipment now needs to be registered 60 days in advance, before it is eligible to be used in competition. This is for both boards and kites.
The first major event 2012 (as announced to date) will be the Asian Course Racing Championships in Thailand from February 14-19, 2012, so all manufacturers are encouraged to register equipment well in time to be eligible for competition in the first major event.
