T-5 for the Racing Worlds, and the Forecast is looking good !

Written by Editor on . Posted in News

Only a few days to go until the kick-off for the first kite racing world championships on the European Continent, and the forecast for the whole week is looking brilliant with consistent winds between 10 and 20 knots. This will not only allow to complete the planned 16-20 races but also the freestyle competiton which is the first round for the European Championship. If there is time left we will also see a few rounds of the kitecross discipline, for which all competitors, racers as well as freestylers, are invited to take part.

Stay tuned with us for more updates before the event, and live coverage during the event !

Addition to the race management policies for the 2011 racing worlds

Written by Editor on . Posted in News

The high number of registrations might make it necessary to split the fleet into flights with separate starts. This requires the introduction of an additional course that might be used in this case.

This additional course will be the standard trapezoid course, with one flight running on the outer loop and one flight running on the inner loop, allowing for two fleets reacing at the same time.
