Addition to the race management policies for the 2011 racing worlds

The high number of registrations might make it necessary to split the fleet into flights with separate starts. This requires the introduction of an additional course that might be used in this case.

This additional course will be the standard trapezoid course, with one flight running on the outer loop and one flight running on the inner loop, allowing for two fleets reacing at the same time.

The worlds best kiteboarders meet on Sylt next week to fight for the 2011 Course Racing World Title

Just one week to go before the warning signal comes up for the largest and best skilled fleet in kiteboard racing ever.

More than 140 competitors from 28 nations representing all continents have registered to find their champion on Germany's most prestigious island Sylt, located in the North Sea which produces challenging conditions with strong winds and waves.

Kiteboarding Competition Rules Updated

Just in time for the upcoming Course Racing World Championships end of the month in Sylt, ISAF has published the latest amendment to the Kiteboarding Competition Rules (Appendix BB).

The changes to the January 2011 version include updated definitions for capsized and finish as well as some other minor rules changes. All Competitors of the upcoming events in Sylt, Puerto Rico and Poland are advised to download the latest version here.
