Gunnar Biniasch News:Santander ISAF Format Trials Day 2

Written by Gunnar Biniasch on . Posted in Riders News

Day 2 started out nice and Sunny and we were rewarded with a nice little Seebreeze for Big kites.

I was still suffering with my Back Pain, but thanks to some greatly appreachiated help from Mike Gebhardt I managed to surive the day.

Before the Seebreeze kicked in Kristin Böse and Mirco Babini did their best to explain the processes of the IKA and ISAF to the riders. It was very insightful for most of the Athletes here and was a great idea.

After the meeting the Seebreeze kicked in  after a few false starts and the fleet made it out to the Course.

We ran 2 Windward/Leeward Course Races and then changed to Slalom.  We managed one round of Slalom and then returned to the C.E.A.R. Sailing Club to discuss how things went with the ISAF Judges who were observing the 2 Formats we ran for them today.

There were many positiv things said and some constructive feedback was given.  Tomorrow we will try out some newer formats like Enduro and Short Track.  It will get very interesting, and it will be good to see how the ISAF judges perceive these new formats.
