Och Aye! The Scottish Windfest along with the BKSA took place from the 13th – 15th of September at Barassie Beach in the lovely seaside town of Troon. The Scottish Windfest is put together by a group of local volunteers who are enthusiastic and keen to push the watersports industry. There were fun activities for the whole family on and off the water so the turnout was pretty huge. The entertainment at night was great too, on the Friday night there were live singers, bands and on Saturday night there were a range of DJ’s playing including some top Redbull guys. Being a local event meant packing my Mercedes Vito Sport Van with ease and leaving it at the event.
BKSA wise, we were told the final event in Swansea will be cancelled so this would be the last event of the year! We ran the competition on the Sunday where winds ranged from 30mph to 50mph! We so some huge air. I rode my 5m Vegas and felt super powered. I enjoyed the competition and made a few good tricks. I got to the final after 3 heats and had a blast. I took 3rd place in the Scottish Windfest and then took 2nd place overall for 2013. So I’m crowned British Vice Champion again
I am stoked to keep up within the top 3 and I am still keen to push for British Champion.
Thanks to my sponsors for the best equipment.
