Ozone News:Maks Zakowski - Polish Champion 2014

Written by Ozone on . Posted in Industry News

Hi everyone,

Two weeks ago, I took part in the Polish Championships. Throughout 3 days we had 15 races in various conditions. There were mostly big waves and wind around 15-16 knots. Each race was a tight battle between me and Blasco. However, after two days he was leading with merely one point, therefore the last day decided about everything.

We had 6 races that day. During the first two I was super overpowered with Chrono 18 and unfortunately I happened to loose both of them. Consequently I missed 3 points and Blasco was on fire, so my situation was quite unfortunate.

I left my Chrono 18 on the beach and I used my 12 in the last four races. In result I won two races in a row, then we had a break and two more races, which decided about the final score. I will never forget those races. I was very stressed, but I managed to keep calm and avoid making mistakes, which gave me the title again.

After the Polish Championships I took part in photo session for Blue Media, please check attached pictures. On the 9th I am leaving for Turkey to get use to the conditions there and then do my best during the World Championships competition.

Keep fingers crossed.
Maks
