RRD News:Luke McGillewie Spain Update

Written by RRD on . Posted in Industry News

Hey everyone,
So a lot of people have been asking me what am I doing in Spain, so here it is.

In Cape Town we have a lot of young rippers that have huge PKRA potential, One of these riders is Jason Van Der Spuy. Over the last three months I have been training Jason on and off of the water preparing him for the PKRA junior world championship here in Spain. Its been really cool to watch Jason progress the way he did in the time that we had and his level has hugely increase. Unfortunately he didn’t do so well here, but at the same token he walked away with a lot more knowledge and plenty more drive.

The next step is to prepare him for SA Champs which I am sure he will dominate by that time with his super fast learning attitude! In between training jason I was able to get on the water myself and test the construction of some new boards and I can tell you that after what I put them through, they defiantly aren’t going to be breaking any time soon!

Thats me for now!
see you on the water!
