Finally I finished my exams that I just had after the competition in France! I feel so free now and ready to train for the next event!
Tough days in France during the PKRA, the wind as always was very strong and gusty.
During the first day we did the trials and the first round of single elimination, the wind was blowing strong so I took my 6m C4; I didn’t expect that I could hold that amount of wind with a 6m kite!
The gust was sometimes up to 45knots and I could still unhook and do some freestyle tricks. I felt good because lot of friends and known people came to see the event, so during my heat everyone was screaming and that gave me lots of motivation.
I managed to pass the trials and the first round on the Single Elimination, but on the next round my kite flew away during the heat so I couldn’t do enough tricks to win it.
I was angry because of that, but that gave me motivation to climb up the ladder during the Double elimination. But then, when I was fighting for 7th place the wind blew very strong and I had a couple of very bad crashes. In the other way, my opponent Mario Rodwald was riding very solid so I lost that 7th place and ended up 9th.
I was happy with my riding and a bit unlucky with the competition but the game is like this. I hope to get a better result at my next stop in Egypt, the spot looks very sick so I hope to have some great sessions there!
