ASV News:2014 Lord Of The Wind

Written by ASV on . Posted in Industry News

The Lord of the Wind Showdown turned out to be a great event as usual. At its 4th edition the event had great winds and completed the entire program consisting of Course Racing, Slalom, Freestyle, Big Air and the classic long distance race Lord of The Wind showdown.

Santiago Ramirez finished 3rd in Course Racing and In Slalom Simone and Santiago followed Lake in 2nd and 3rd place

Foils was the new thing that got spectators attention. Adam Koch surprisingly won the big air on it and Adam Withington rode his foil in both course race and slalom showing outstanding technique and control.

The event rules stated that no foils were allowed in those two events so Adam's desire to show what a foil board could do, cost him a DSQ from the event. On Sunday Adam Withington could not be on the starting line of the Showdown so he started behind the fleet, he caught up the early leader Brian Lake and passed him right at the finish line but it was "off the record".

The official results are:
1. Bryan Lake [foilboard]
2. Adam Koch [foilboard]
3. Santiago Ramirez [raceboard]
4. Simone Vannucci [raceboard]
