Ozone News:Sophie Caillet - 1st Womens Foil - French Race Championships

Written by Ozone on . Posted in Industry News

Hi everyone,

The French kite race championships took place during 5 days in Marseille at the beginning of May.

For the second year I finished first woman, scoring around 7th and 8th place in each race with 50 men and women all together.

Due to the increase of foils in France the race Championship was divided into two sections, Race and Foil, 30 registered for the foil against 28 for the race.

The races were all done together but with separate results, and for another time the foils proved their superiority by taking the first 10 places in each race. America’s cup, hydroptere, sailrocket, all these new boats are using foils to increase performance, maybe the future of kite race will be with foil!!

Thanks to Ozone for providing me with such good kites. Congratulations to Ozone rider Benjamin Petit finishing first in Male Veteran and Axel Mazella first Male Youth.

Good winds
Sophie
