With a promising southerly flow, the green light has been given to start the European Speed Championships in Dungarvan, Ireland from Sunday 01/11 until Saturday 07/11.
Please find below important information about insurance and equipment transport, which needs to be booked until 26/10 latest !

Event registration will be closedon 26/10 18:00 hours. Please make sure that we have received your registration by then to take part in this event.
Every competitor (without exception) will have to provide proof of 3rd party insurance to the value of €6.5m or GBP5m. It is vital that all competitors check their own insurance policy and ensure it covers them for sailing in Irish waters and in a professional event, many policies have geographical limitations and are also limited to amateur sporting activities and of course if this applies to your policy then you are uninsured for this event.
In the event that someone is unable to provide the documents to the satisfaction of the organisers, membership of the Irish Windsurfing Association and the Irish Kitesurfing Association will be available on site; this will provide you with the requisite insurance cover.
Dublin Airport Radissson – Park Hotel Dungarvan 1900hrs 31/10:
Equipment transport will pass by arrivals area of Dublin Airport at 1500hrs, 1700hrs and 1900hrs on 31/10 stopping for as long as they are allowed, no more than 10 minutes – it will also be present in the car park of The Radisson throughout the afternoon until 1845hrs on 31/10
Coach transfer will be from The Radisson, leaving at 1900hrs on 31/10
The provision of this service at this price requires 34 users or more so it is vital we have responses by close of business 26/10/09
Note: for the vast majority of people, walking your gear to the Radisson should be feasible; it’s a short enough walk.
Park Hotel Dungarvan – Dublin Airport 1000hrs 08/11:
Return journeys are on 08/11 leaving at 1000hrs.
The equipment transfer truck will be present from 1800hrs the previous evening 07/11 – all gear will need to be loaded by 0930hrs 08/11
Users of the above service are advised that insurance of their own kit is their own responsibility. Users are also advised to satisfy themselves with the loading arrangement of their own gear within the truck. We will be advising the driver that the contents are valuable and fragile but as with any freight, the onus to insure contents is with the owner.
Spaces are limited to 55 people and it has been indicated that a lot of people are bringing partners and children this year so don’t hold off on confirming your seat.
We absolutely need to confirm numbers for this service by 26/10/09 to see if we can put it on, as if we can’t, everyone needs time to arrange their own transport. We repeat, if we don’t have 34 users confirmed by close of business we will not be arranging the transport in question.
