KTE News:Formula Racing Kiteboarding World Champion Flo Gruber takes all 4 disciplines

Written by KTE on . Posted in News

Florian Gruber, the current world champion in formula racing has a packed schedule

for the jubilee edition of Kitesurf Cup Sylt. He is starting in the four  disciplines Foil – these hightech boards allow the driver to stand on a hydro foil above the water-, freestyle, twintip racing and course racing, where he defends his title. Being passionate about the racing discipline, his father Erwin is on the island, too. We keep our fingers crossed for both sympathic riders from Garmisch.

The internatinal riders promise to deliver a thrilling competition. Mexican rider Andrew Mc Arthur will be comfortable in the environment of the european competitions. The largest group are the seven participants from Poland. Also many new German riders are taking part in the competition and are looking forward to perfect weather and wind conditions. More than 25 knots of Wind are forecasted and promise an electrifying first day of the competition.

Starting at 10 a.m., the live stream will deliver a full coverage of the action on the water and Sylt 1 TV broadcasts background information from their beach studio.

The day was rounded off by a tasting of „Sylter Royal“ oysters and German champagne by „Weinlounge on Tour“.Dj Flabbergaster from the Netherlands fired up the Aperol  Bar and the excited participants   with his beats.
