The International Kiteboarding Association is a not-for-profit making organization operating a democratic decision-making process within the constraints of the Constitution.
With the exception of an Executive Secretary, the IKA is comprised entirely of volunteers.
A President, Vice-President, the Executive Secretary, the Treasurer and three Executive Committee Members constitute the Executive Committee of the Association. The Executive Committee are responsible for implementing the policy decisions of the General Assembly and for taking all management and operational decisions on behalf of the Association.
At the head of the decision making process is the General Assembly. The General Assembly is made up of all full members of the Association being subject to payment of the annual membership fee each national association regulating the activity of the class in that country.
The Executive Committee also from time to time appoints specialist committees / commissions and working parties.
